Our PGA Professionals

Nigel Pearce - Director of Golf & Head PGA Professional

I have been the Director of Golf at Sleaford since June 2018 as well as being the Head Professional since September 2006. I moved to Lincolnshire from Sheffield in February 2002 to be the Assistant Professional to Jamie Wilson. I attained my PGA Qualification in 1999 whilst working at Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds.  I am a fully qualified PGA Rules Referee as well as a trained Powakaddy repair agent.  I have also attained the Golf Club Management certificate in 2015.  I  regularly compete in local and national Pro AM tournaments and enjoyed my career highlight in 2014 when I competed in the Lombard PGA National Pro Am Final at Gleneagles where I managed to finish in 5th place. My goal is to continually strive to improve the whole Club and the facilities for all members.

Oliver Harrod - PGA Trainee Professional & Shop Manager

I first started my qualification in September 2018. It is a three year foundation degree, with an option of doing an extra year to achieve the full degree status. This will increase all my opportunities for my future golfing career. I am passionate about coaching and I feel I am building a strong reputation in helping all levels of player improve. My golfing background is that I’ve been a member at Sleaford all my life (since the age of 8). My first golf lesson was actually from Nigel Pearce who is now the Director of Golf. I went on to play for all the county teams (U14- Men’s 1st Team). I also have represented England Schools vs Scotland at Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club. Recently I’ve just completed the AASE East Midlands golf qualification through Soulihull College, this is a great achievement of mine. It gave me an insight of what a professional golfer works on, mentally and physically to maintain their highest quality of performance.

Daniel Thomas - Trainee assistant PGA Professional

I joined Sleaford Golf Club as the Assistant Professional in May 2021 having started my career at Boston West Golf Club, before moving to Middleton Hall.  I am currently in my second year of my PGA training after successfully completing year one. My passion is junior coaching and I hope to build on the previous success of the Saturday morning coaching.
