LADIES SECTION

Ladies’ competitions are played as designated in the Club Calendar. Ladies’ Day is traditionally Tuesday and although the majority of lady members play between 09.00 and 10.45, it is possible to play any time during the competition day.

To enable maximum participation,  almost 50% of ladies’ competitions are also played at weekends with some non-medal competitions being split over 2 days. Details of Competitions and Ladies’ events are displayed on the notice board in the Ladies’ Locker Room.  A start sheet for Tuesday Competitions and for some weekend trophy competitions is displayed on the Competition Board and these start sheets are a good way to find playing partners for competitions.

Most ladies’ competitions are stand-alone but when Stableford or Par competitions are played over two days, the competition will appear on both a weekend day and the Tuesday in the same week. Any individual may play only once in these competitions. Medals are all individual Competitions with no alternative day.  Singles and Pairs Knock-out Competitions are also held throughout the year. A group of ladies meet on Thursday morning at approximately 09.15 to play social golf and again on Sunday at 11.00 when there is no formal competition being played. Everyone is welcome to come along. From late October to March, unless there is an event on the calendar, a Tuesday morning draw is held at 09.20 to provide ladies the opportunity to play competitive golf with different members.

The Ladies also play in the Lincolnshire Handicap League, the Lincolnshire Scratch League and in a number of friendly mixed handicap matches against local clubs, so there is no shortage of competitive golf.  Sign up in the locker room and you are guaranteed to be selected for some matches throughout the season. Mixed golf opportunities are also available, in the various Ladies’/Seniors’ competitions, in Club mixed competitions, knock-outs and in the mixed social matches.
