Juniors Golf at Sleaford Golf Club

Juniors

OUR JUNIOR CAPTAIN FOR 2012-2013 IS RHYS MAYERS

Sleaford Golf Club has a very active junior membership, who regularly take part in their own competitions.  The Club is very proactive in promoting junior golf, and anyone aged 18 years or below can become a member for only £75.00 per year.  With no additional costs, this provides as much golf as you can absorb.  Many of our past juniors have become excellent golfers, and have been fortunate enough to be have been selected to represented the County and Country on several occasions.

Why not invite your friend to come and play golf with you during the summer holidays. There is now a prospective membership scheme in place so that your friends can play up to 6 rounds of golf at only £5.00 per round during the Junior Saturday afternoon meet.  After 6 rounds they can then make the decision if they would like to join.  With £30.00 already paid for playing 6 rounds, it means that only £45.00 is required to meet the annual junior membership fee of £75.00.  This scheme is only available if the Club PGA Professional, Nigel Pearce, decides that a junior is competent to play on the course in a manner that ensures his or her own safety, and the safety of other golfers.

All junior and budding junior golfers can come along to the regular Saturday morning lessons which take place from 09:15 to 10:15 for those over 12 years of age, and from 10:15 until 11:00 for those under 12 years of age.  Cost is £3.00 per person for the first lesson, and subsequent lessons are only £2.00 per session.  Both members and non-members are welcome to attend.

The Junior Organiser, Geoff Burnett, welcomes all new junior members to the Club, and has established a "Facebook" page to enable all junior members to be readily updated with current events that affect junior golf here at Sleaford.

Key dates for 2012 are:
